Selective breeding
Animals and plants come in all shapes and sizes. People can choose the best animals and plants and allow them to breed to produce offspring with good qualities. They can prevent other animals and plants from breeding so that poor qualities are not passed on. All our pets and farm animals and many plants have been produced in this way. When we choose the best qualities in this way it is called selective breeding.
